What is a Food Bank?
Food banks provide short-term emergency food supplies to individuals and families in crisis. Typically, you'll need a referral from a professional agency, healthcare provider or social worker to access food bank services.
Food banks usually provide parcels containing 3-7 days' worth of basic food items, typically non-perishable tinned and packaged foods. Many food banks also offer basic toiletries, baby supplies and pet food.
